Weisser Engineering & Surveying Sponsors the Charity Salty Dog Fishing Tournament
HOUSTON -July 2, 2018 - Weisser Engineering & Surveying (WES) participated in and sponsored the Annual Salty Dog Fishing Tournament for the 5th consecutive year. The Tournament is organized by a major Electric Distribution & Energy Company's Employees, in Aransas Pass, Texas. This year, the Tournament was held on June 22-23. The Company's employees were able to donate over $250,000 to the Don D. Jordan Scholarship Fund, a 501 (c)(3) Organization that provides scholarships to children who maintain a high academic record and show a strong commitment to community involvement.
Over the years, the Don D. Jordan Scholarship fund has awarded over $1.6 Million in scholarships to deserving young men and women to help further their education.Last year's Salty Dog contribution marked the 12th consecutive year that the Salty Dog has contributed to the scholarship fund, totaling over $1,000,000.
