WES Survey CAD Technician Position Expectations
As a WES Senior Survey CAD Technician, you will support office and field staff by processing incoming information and producing final Land Surveying project deliverables. You will report to the Drafting Manager and perform technical tasks utilizing the latest technology in the drafting industry. You will help increase project efficiency and client satisfaction by:
Specific Responsibilities
- Coordinate with Drafting Manager & Project Manager to Ensure Project Requirements are Met in the Office & Field
- Process Field Data & Perform Initial CAD Drafting on Land Survey Deliverables
- Quality Control (QC) Assistance & Review, Based Upon Client Specific Deliverables
- Monitor Field Crew Data For Quality Assurance
- Perform Initial QC of Field Deliverables, According to Standards & Best Practices
- Daily Processing of Data
- This will Include Evaluating Accuracy, Sufficiency
- Ensuring Compliance to Applicable Regulations, Professional & Industry Standards Related to Boundary Calculations, Legal Descriptions, Etc.
- Perform Deed Research, Deed Plotting & Map Checks
- Prepare Land Survey Plats, Drawings, Legal Descriptions & Alignment Drawings
- Provide Technical Office Support for Survey Field Crew Manager
- Perform QC Checks of Land Survey Plats & Drawings as Developed by Peers
- Ensure Schedules & Productivity Objectives for Preparation of Land Survey Plats & Drawings are Reached
What WES Needs From Our Team Member
- Demonstrated Project Experience in Project/Phase Drafting Management for Both Mid to Large Scale Projects
- Strong Proficiency of Software Such as AutoCAD, Carlson C&G, Microstation, Trimble Business Center, Microsoft Office Suite
- Professional Written & Verbal Communication Skills
- Including the Ability to Proactively Request Supporting Information and/or Documentation From Clients
- Ability to Identify & Troubleshoot Issues & Problem Solve Accordingly
- Ability To Successfully Perform Within A Team Environment
